The Story

Bruce Chatwin was a nomad and a storyteller, wandering was second nature to him, and home was a station platform piled high with kit bags.

His writing was a vivid mix of reportage, autobiography and gossip; he collected stories like a magpie, taking his readers to other worlds and other seas.

This design celebrates the Aboriginal dream tracks he describes in his travelogue “Songlines”.

This design features a map of Australia, drawings of indigenous Australian art and a China Rose which means 'beauty always new' in the language of flowers. The squiggly lines are referenced from a 19th Century map charting Aboriginal songlines.
